on photography of people in public

There is an article in the Huffingtonpost in which a woman is complaining about a guy who took several photos of her and/or a friend while all were in a bar or restaurant watching a basketball game.

The woman confronted the guy and “made” him delete the photos.  The woman writes an article published at the Huffingtonpost in which she assumes that it is wrong for a guy to take photos of people in public without their permission and that others have the right to confront him or stop him or even have him prosecuted for such behavior.

I could be wrong, but I think she is wrong!  She also seems to regard it as sexual harassment for him to be taking such photos!
