A few months ago there was a killing in the Midwest. There was a guy named George Floyd and he was perhaps trying to pass off some counterfeit money.
The police who were called to check on him tried to arrest him, but the guy resisted, or, at least, he complained that he could not and would not get in the police car, based on his anxiety and claustrophobia, or something.
Maybe George Floyd was lying and maybe Floyd was telling the truth.
So, the police and he got into a “violent” struggle of some type and last part of the struggle is that one police guy had his foot or knee on the neck of Floyd. Floyd was saying he could not breathe and calling for his mom.
The unwise or angry police officer had his foot or knee on the neck of Floyd for about 9 minutes and this went way past the time of the guy going nonresponsive.
Anyway, the police guy killed Floyd. Was it an accident or careless or somewhat intentional? Either way, it upset some people, and then, others at protests have used the time to riot!
I do not know enough to know, but there have been riots and protests in several major cities across the USA.
Now, since I at times get whipped and caned, it turns out that I have also been “smothered” and I have seen various videos of “smothering.”
Anyway, if you smother a guy and if you hope that he will be still alive afterwards, you need to release the smothering much more promptly than after 9 minutes, or even, after 3 minutes of the guy being nonresponsive.
I think that both smothering and strangling a person, in Washington state, are felonies. Avoid smothering or strangling your girlfriend or wife, especially if the police are showing up 30 minutes later to check on things.
Carmen Best and all her friends on the patrol do not wish to visit a home where there has been some strangling or smothering of the girlfriend cause she has burned the dinner or been out too late without permission.
The normal way to get your smothering is to pay some professionals and there is less chance, that way, that police will be visiting! Of course, there are also amateurs who do their smothering but we should avoid smothering, choking and strangling when done in anger or out of control.
At least, most of us or most of you who wish to avoid police explanations should avoid choking and strangling done in anger!
There is smothering and there are chokeholds and there is strangulation. Smothering is to block the mouth and nose so the guy does not get air, but the blocking can be easily released. If you do chokeholds or strangulation you have greater risks of some types of injuries, I think, but I am not the expert.
And, oh, people learn and practice chokeholds in the Marines and in mixed martial arts fighting. The thing is, or so we hope, the victorious guy releases the chokehold before the choke results in death or serious injury.
I actually do not watch MMA much, but when there were the riots and the protests, I have read more about these things.
Supposedly some people can hold their breath for 2 or 3 minutes, but I *think* that a lot of instances of complete smothering for 2 or 3 minutes will kill you or the person being smothered.
Also, the “means” of the smothering matter. If you put some pressure on the neck in some ways, I *think* that at times the cartilage in the neck becomes inflamed and that this blocks the airway and this may kill the guy being smothered, even after you have released the chokehold.
If you see a domme, a dominatrix, that is, there are several possibilities. Many dommes will not be smothering you at all. There may be some, I think, who will smother you but not till you are out. At least I think there are some like that. Some will smother you and you will go out. Some will smother you but with plastic bags but not using strangulation or chokeholds.
I am not the expert, but I do read the news. It has happened in New York and in California and presumably in other places that a chokehold, used as a restraint, has led the death of the person being restrained.
Anyway, in 2018 it became clear that one SPD officer, at least from my point of view, is not very honest and has contempt for my safety. And, in May 2019, the city of Seattle convicted me of assault, though the conviction has been, so far, overturned, as the trial was not fair.
And in the process I have at times prayed for either Brett Cameron or the city of Seattle or for other participants in the process. At times I pray for the city of the Seattle and at times I have prayed for the members of the jury of May 2019!
Among some Christians, one way to pray is that God show dumb dumbs and evil doers the right way!
It now appears that the judges or the city have made it much harder for the police to protect themselves in Seattle.
Various groups have destroyed property or kept police away from one or more of their precincts in Seattle.
Supposedly a lot of businesses have been damaged, burned, vandalized or looted. I do not know what is the current estimate of the total damages of property and business lost from all the protests, vandalism and looting!
About a month ago there was a woman in the news of the SPD who has a badly torn meniscus and she tore her meniscus while attempting to dodge some rocks or other items being thrown at her.
Apparently this last weekend there were several police officers injured when people in the crowd threw fireworks or explosives at them!
Should I be happy or be sad? I do not know!
There are some business owners who have decided to leave Seattle and there are some residents who have left or are leaving Seattle.
I think that some SPD officers are good and honorable, and that others are abusive, dishonest and contemptible. When I prayed for the city of Seattle that God show them the right way, I actually wondered if that might mean some increased crime or other problems.
Anyway, the city council is going to take funding away from the police, and some police are leaving. So some people in Seattle are going to have their property destroyed or taken away and some will have to defend themselves or suffer being beaten up.
There was a man in the news in Portland and he was attacked by about ten people, and then kicked in the head.
Back in 2018, I had a peculiar experience while in prayer or after praying and it seems that God may have been encouraging me to be praying for those who are sick and afflicted. So, I have prayed for the people of Belarus now and for the people who have been hit or blinded by rubber bullets in some of the protests.
I pray for people who are in wheelchairs and who pass by me on the sidewalk or on the street. At times I pray for homeless people who are unruly or yelling or screaming or mentally disturbed.
Sometimes I read the news and I am inclined to pray for one or more persons who are sick and afflicted physically, since God seems to be implying that it would be good for me to pray for those who are sick and afflicted. I do not even know for sure if I understood the minor coincidence properly.
Anyway, do I rejoice at the crime and grief that have come to Seattle police officers and to some Seattle residents?
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword
His truth is marching on, His truth is marching on!
I have seen Him in the watch fires of a hundred circling camps
They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps
I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps
His day is marching on
Right now I am preoccuppied with other tasks. The question is, When I am less preoccuppied, should I visit or be at Seattle again, and burn in effigy Garret Hay, SPD officer and the city of Seattle itself? I think so!
I am a bit too preoccuppied now to be burning Hay in effigy much or the city of Seattle or its flag, but perhaps in time to come, I shall have the time!
So, Who is laughing now? What comes around goes around!
There are our favorite verses in Ezekiel 9!
4 And the Lord said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.
5 And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:
6 Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.
7 And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city.
