I watched the movie Unbroken.
The man is an Olympic runner and then survives about 45 days at sea and being abused in a Japanese prisoner of war camp. One of the Japanese who abused him was called Bird. After the war, America offered amnesty and Bird came out of hiding after being considered a war criminal for several years. I wonder if the US should have been so generous.
When the fellow was lost at sea, there was a storm and during the Storm, the fellow prays and says that if God gets him through it he will serve and follow God . . . and the guy survives difficult, nearly incredible things. Later he becomes Christian . . .
Did God save his life? I assume so . . .
